Cute things

The other night Alan and I were on the couch. I've made a game in the past of "bitting" his fingers when they are near my mouth. He seemed to be deliberately putting his fingers near my mouth and then laughing when I "bit" them :)

Also, the other morning Mark was kissing me goodbye and we noticed Alan looking at us from the crib and smiling. So we did it again, Alan smiled again. And he smiled today also. It's cute.

It's Thursday ... sigh

It's been a crazy week. We hired someone a friend of ours found to do some needed renovations in the condo and he's worked the last 2 nights disrupting the kitchen.

I had to make yet another Home Depot trip last night. I'm working off a list of supplies the workman gave me and it's so hard to find help. I had a terrible time finding the right molding - I ended up getting a slightly different kind and having to cut a 15 FOOT piece in 1/2 myself. (He needed 2 7 foot pieces). And I had Alan (a very good sport) with me. Too bad he's really too little for the race car shopping cart (which is a pain to push!)

But I think I'm done with supplies for the most part. And the kitchen has one coat of paint and it looks better.

Last night we ordered the deli platter for Alan's party on Sunday. Tonight I have to order the cake (the bakery was closed). My MIL will get kosher meat tommorrow, we may get some other dessert and fruit salad supplies tommorrow night. We just have to pick up some stuff on Sunday and we are all set. (Having done this same party scenario twice before for my 40th birthday and Alan's bris, it's been fine tuned).

Sox won last night. Of course the NYC media are bummed. I'd love to see the Boston headlines this AM :) Go Cubs. Go Sox. (and don't ask me who I want to win if they make the series. I think I'll just watch.)
