Alan commando crawled at first. But lately I've noticed him doing more and more hand and knee crawling. And he still has the habit of crawling off with a toy in one hand - he's also been following us around a little more (we are letting him crawl around our place somemore, carefully as the renovation stuff is a little more organized now. I do hope the new guy we got can finish the kitchen at least - I want to throw out the OLD molding (with nails in it) (Don't worry - its in a corner we keep Alan AWAY from) but can't until the new one is in (in case it's needed for a cutting guide).

He also likes to cruise a lot and pull himself up. Hopefully he'll be standing on his own soon.

He also loves doors. If he gets into a room with an open door, he'll close it with his hands. And he LOVES to play with the doors on the chest where his clothes are (which is very annoying when you are trying to tidy them up).

Kind of a blah weekend. Alan had a 103-104 fever friday night so we didn't do much. He went to what was his 1 year checkup appointment Sat, but didn't do the physical. He did get weighed and measured - 25.5 lbs (clothed) and 30 1/4 inches - I checked online and thats 77th and 51th percentiles appx - right on the curve. I'll get it officially on Thursday. He is also cutting some molars. The doctor thought his teeth were funny, didn't know he'd lost the 4 front teeth in his fall in July. (I'll make sure it's on the chart next visit).
Sunday morning I made Krusteaz blueberry muffins in the new stove. Nice to have something cook in the time it says on the package instead of having to add 5 minutes at least. I decided to make Spinach Lasagna for dinner cause I saw a recipie in the 11/03 issue of Parenting (I made slight changes, reduced fat cheese, added parmesan cheese to the spinach/ricotta mixture and used extra frozen spinach (2 10oz boxes, they had no 16oz bags in the supermarket).

We went to Corrado's (italian grocery/fruit) - they had some interesting stuff for .99 cents (marked down, discontinued, past dated etc - we got some juice drinks, one bag of potato things made by the veggie bootie people). I got a 1 day past due big bag of salad greens for .50 cents also. And yummy store made whole wheat rolls for .99 cents. Got some other fruit/veggies also. Then we went to the supermarket to get lasgna stuff (cheese, sauce, spinanch, noodles) and the week's sale stuff. Saw our friend Dave doing laundry next door @ the laundromat and invited him for dinner. He came and we saw the Jets win right at the end of the game after a delicous dinner (lasagna came out great, will do again including the extra spinach!)

Alan wasn't his usually hungry self all weekend, barely drank formula, nursed a bit, but would eat fruit. He cried a lot and seemed to be clingy. He did eat some spinach lasagna. He did drink 6 oz of formula before bed last night, the most he had all weekend. This AM he drank 3/4 of a gerber juice/yogurt and 1-2 bannana crackers before daycare, think he's feeling himself.
