Good and Bad
Nov. 7th, 2003 11:14 amWhen I picked up Alan yesterday, I was told he'd been up since 12 with only a 1/2 hour nap. I'd hoped to get him to bed early.
Anyway we had our friend over to finish sealing the kitchen floor grout so we can use the kitchen again. He brought his cleaning lady with him - he thought our place was a mess...well with a 1/2 finished construction project it would be...anyway she did a terrific job on the bathrooms - I think we will use her again - DH who never wanted a maid has finally seen that it is a good thing with our busy life! But with all this alan didn't got to bed until 9:30 - he was up because the bathroom in our bedroom was being cleaned (should have been done first).
So around 5:30 I woke up and turned the light on to check Alan. bad idea. woke him up. Took him into bed with me and he never fell back asleep. And Moxie (cat) was knocking on the bedroom door for attention (he does this rarely). Couldn't really leave Alan on the bed to yell at the cat and if I put Alan in the crib, he'd CRY!
DH had been up till 3 AM, so he was pretty groggy when I checked on him at 7:45, so I ended up taking Alan to daycare. Now I'm tired. I hope Alan naps today. at least we can sleep in tommorrow. And I'm making breakfast in our nice (if still not 100% complete) kitchen :)
