Alan - dentist
Jan. 21st, 2004 09:45 pmAlan had a dental checkup tonight (from his fall last summer*).
It went very well. He was a good boy while we waited to go in. There was a 2 year old african american girl there - with her hair in a zillion colored barrettes. (I've always been amazed the mom's have enough patience to do that!) Alan seemed to like her. She wasn't so sure. He also briefly noticed a pre-teen boy in a wheelchair (I think he was having braces adjusted).
The dentist said he was past the danger zone (of losing his teeth), and to come back in 6 months. His top canines are coming in now (hopefully the bottom ones will also, he only has 2 molars when I get a chance to look). Alan just cried a little when the doctor looked in his mouth. He's never liked anyone looking in there.
On the way out the 2 year old went in with her parents. I heard her crying a lot when I left :(
He also stood up for 3 minutes today according to the sitter. I think I saw him stand a little in his crib tonight. Hopefully he'll walk soon (or at least stand).
*For anyone new, he fell out of a high chair last summer (at 9.5 months). Ended up losing 4 bottom teeth and the top front ones were a little loose for a while.
