Gymboree - New Dinosaur Boys Line
Jan. 22nd, 2004 10:07 amWhat a pleasant surprise to find in a personal mail this AM that the new boys Dinosaur line is up. (They sneak up those boys lines, don't they).
As a vintage fan (bright color lover), I like the bright orange and green in it. I just have to decide to get 18-24 for this summer or 2T for next fall. But he has so much 18-24 already including Soccer and Animal Crackers. (He's in 12-18 now in gymboree, in smaller sized brands he's in 18 months).
I do have *3* complaints though:
1. Stop making the exact same color blocked sweater. Every recent line has had the same sweater with the dark sleeves, lighter chest and one design. Sweaters *do* come in other colors and patterns! (I think they've done the same in the rompers, but I haven't been getting those for a while).
2. (This may be *my* personal quirk). It would have been nice to see socks in the bright orange or green to match, in addition to the one kind of sock with the orange dinosaur.
3. No shoes. Again. I think a pair of sandles or workboots would have looked cool. I think the dinosaur Robeez I bought to match the Little Dinosaur layette will work with this very well, if they still fit. (I think both Robeez and Bobux make a dinosaur pattern of olive and cream, if you like those soft leather shoes.)
