I met with my doctor this AM about my thyroid tests.
Thyroid levels were fine (I didn't see the #s). My trigycerides were high (311) but my cholrestol was ok (170, it had been 202 on my one 2 weeks ago).
Nuclear scan was "cold" (ie the lump didn't pickup the radioactive stuff).
I had a needle biopsy done and I'll get the results next Saturday
Doctor said 9 out of 10 it will be benign and nothing needs to be done.
If it isn't bengin, he'd send me to Columbia Prespeterian in NYC for outpatient surgery. The thyroid surgeon at Hackensack Hosptial retired (after 30 years), and they only have general Eye-Ear-Nose-Throat surgeons on staff.
So I'm still waiting. I will have both the thyroid doctor and Alan's 15 month checkup Saturday. I wouldn't normally do this, but my insurance changes AGAIN on 2/1 AND the doctor's are a block apart.
