Day care switch
Sep. 29th, 2004 09:59 amAfter last night's notice I needed to find a new daycare.
So this morning I called around. The county didn't have any good referals for home care, so he'll be going to a center and we'll have to deal with the dreaded 6:30 closing time (if only they'd stay open till 7...) However, the nursery school nearest our house (they start at 16 months, so we couldn't use it when Alan was small) has an opening. 710 a month + 3.00 a day for lunch. My husband and I will stop by at 6 tonight to check it out. It's also right on the bus line to NYC, so I should be able to park, drop off Alan and then get the bus instead of having to drive back and park somewhere.
I think it is time for Alan to be with other kids his own age. This will help us meet more playmates for him as we don't know any kids other than Nadia's family in town (there really aren't any in our complex).
I'm going to see if I can adjust my hours back a little bit and get in earlier so I can more definitely make the 6:30 time. Also, my MIL can get Alan in a pinch.
