Cross-posted from all over: "The American Family Association is hoping to stack the decks for this years People's Choice Awards to (as the latest missive from Don "Wouldn't Know A Real Family if It Bit Him In The Ass" Wildmon puts it) "make sure The Passion Of The Christ gets more votes than any other movie in history."

The e-mail includes a link that (funny thing) takes you to the AFA site, where you're asked to give them all sorts of personal information and agree to accept their mailings, at which point they'll magically whisk you to CBS's People's Choice voting page.

I voted in the interest of religous diversity. Although the categories are stupid - the SOLE music category is country. Not everyone listens to country music - NYC doesn't have a country music radio station even.

If you really liked the movie, vote for it. I just don't think it's the best one (and one I don't want to see - in general movies about Jesus aren't ones I'd see even if they weren't graphically violent.)

  • 12/16 - Mark's holiday party at work, he'll make fruit salad the night before - I'll help.
  • 12/17 - kids holiday party at work - will bring Alan in, don't know if Mark can come due to his schedule - make/bring something.
  • 12/18 - Holiday party at Mark's uncle. Bringing tollhouse cookies (made in a pan without nuts). They were a hit last year.
