In the news...
Oct. 17th, 2005 11:08 amI'm glad to see the White Sox make the World Series. Maybe baseball is working its way through the underdog teams. So perhaps the Cubs will have a turn next year.
A Catholic high school on Long Island cancels it's senior prom. I was shocked at the exce$$ these parents tossed around myself. I didn't go to my prom - even when I grew up in a neighborhood that had a few "JAPs" - (Jewish American Princesses), I can't imagine the Hamptons Houses or booze cruises (although when I graduated in 1980, the NY drinking age was still 18).

16 year old pro-golfer drops her ball incorrectly and is disqualified - Michelle Wie did pretty well in the tournament, but didn't follow the rules for moving an unplayable ball. She's under a micrscope due to her age and apparent skills, too bad.

Hurricane Wilma has appeared. I wonder how many Fred Flintstone imitations will spring up saying "WIL-MA!". (Then again, do children today even know the Flintstones? My husband asked this while looking at childrens vitamins the other day.)
Slow day at work, one test environment (computer) is down. I'll post a weekend update later.
