Car names

I've tentatively named my car Lancelot.
A cavilier is a knight and the car is silver like the color of a suit of armor.
I couldn't think of any female knights (cars are usually she's) - Lancelot came into my head. (Even if I do something else with the Camelot theme - I won't use Arthur - it is my ex-husband's name!)

Pictures and Con Guests

I have a question for those who go to cons and other celebrity events. Chiller Theatre is more of an autograph show than a sci-fi con. The major guests are in an enclosed tent outside and it costs 20.00 for the day at the show (including admission to the dealers area and some activities).

There were 4 people who wouldn't let me take a photo of them (even at a distance) for free - Joyce Sutherland from Buffy, William Kaat, Linda Blair and Barbara Eden. Other celebrities didn't seem to care or even posed when I asked. Barbara Eden's security people were the worst, you couldn't even TRY to shoot her from across the room. I would think that if you are doing these events it is ok to charge for a picture WITH someone or an autograph but not just for a general photo - I mean you could easily get them in the background when doing another photo - even one you are paying for. I'm just someone who wanted a photo that I was there - I'm not a great picture taker, I wasn't going to photoshop a nude body on it and put it on the net, or put a fake signature on it and make a zillion copies!

The cons I've been to (like Shore Leave) have had the guests hanging around and on stage where I've often gotten bad photos. I just find the attitude weird. I also found it odd that only one male guest cared and is no longer a big star. It almost seemed the more obscure the guest was the friendlier they were.

Halloween

My MIL got 2 pictures of Alan at the Halloween parade at school (manual). So I don't have any superman photos to post - my camera batteries died this Am when I tried to take photos.

I had to stop at the police station tonight to pick up a parking permit - they had some candy out and there was someone sitting there with a box of carmel apples (don't know why...she didn't offer me any). Came home, we ate and decided to go to Baskin Robins (they had a sale on .99 cents scoops - I guess tonight is slow for them) and then Shoprite for odds ands. I think Alan's got a bit of a cold/congestion - hope it passes. He didn't seem to mind not trick or treating - we blew it this year - we missed the mall stuff on Saturday and I had to work today, so I couldn't take him around anywhere. Maybe next year, I'll take off so I can do some stuff. He did get a goody bag at school which he tried to eat, I put it out of sight. No one trick or treats in our complex, very few kids.

I was talking to him this AM and mentioned candy today. He went into the kitchen looking for the roll of mentos we'd had out!
