Amazingly everything is packed (except my medicine and Mark's toiletries). Even the fish's water is changed. (yes, "Fishie" has made it 3 weeks now....I suspect I'll end up getting a true filted aquarium soon...my MIL will feed him/her while we are away).
Wish us luck that Alan will be good on the trip - I've packed small toys and books and snacks for the trip. We do not own a portable DVD player, we think he watches way too much TV as is - Mark tried to get him to watch another of his favorites tonight "Green Acres". Alan did seem to watch a little. I'll get my turn when I get Magnum PI or Knight Rider DVD's. (Alas, Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman aren't on DVD yet.)
(I know some people might think this stuff odd, but we watched it and turned out ok.)
After we get back work should get busy for a while - a release is due in February and my boss returns from maternity leave. So our group is at last intact. Still looking for something better...but after a long time of feeling the outsider, I do feel like part of the Q/A group now - a good thing.
Still have 1 eBay auction to ship when I come back. Someone one won several lots - I need a box for all the clothes. I did pretty well on cleaning up stuff - I'll probably toss a few odds and ends up when I return and freecycle the 2 items that don't seem to sell (Anyone need first birthday invites + candle, or medieval style patterns in size 2-4 - look on eBay under this name if interested.)
Oh we did sort things out with the cable - they are coming the 14th. I'm looking forward to a few more digital channels to mess with, although as Bruce (Springsteen) sings "57 channels and nothing on!"
