I feel much better now. The antibiotics have kicked in and the mucinex is helping too.
I dropped Alan off at the AM sitter and came home and after reserving long term parking, just crashed for 2 hours. (I'd called in sick)
Got a 12 noon doctor appointment. Didn't get in to the room till after 12:45 but didn't mind seeing the noon news and Who Wants to Be A Millionaire - there was a pretty interesting contestant on - very chatty and quirky - I wonder how far he ended up going. (and his name was Alan). Sat in the waiting room, spotted Medical Economics in the magazine pile there - browsed it (usually doctors don't leave that out - its the business side of medical practices!). Anyway I ended up with a prescription of Zythromax and got a new presciption for an albertuerol inhaler (not sure when I'd had my last one).
Decided to go to Target to fill my prescription. Got there at 1:30 as the pharmacist was going to lunch. So I had a 1/2 hour or so to kill time in Target (not a problem). Found a few bargains - but forgot to get decicer for the car which we needed. Found a 75% off toy for Alan for our trip, a tneck and sweatshirt for Alan for next year, 75% off sneakers for him to grow into, some underware for me, a t and some socks - and got some more of the really cute laundry bags at the dollar spot. I was surprised to find out zythromax has a generic now for the 5 day version. So my medicines cost all of 10.00! Stopped at Taco bell for lunch on the way home for a change.
Came home, boxed about 1/2 of my eBay auctions - then had to get Alan (after dropping stuff at the post office and library). We went to his dentist. We waited a while, but all he did was one x-ray which wasn't easy. There is trauma to the other front tooth and he expects Alan will lose it. But he doesn't want to do anything in terms a bridge for now (he wouldn't do his own child). We need to practice with x-rays for Alan (he gave me one to put in his mouth and pretend with a cardboard tube going beep). Alan does seem to be ok otherwise though.
Oddly enough the dentist uses film x-rays. I asked him why he didn't do digital as my doctor does and he found they missed stuff (but this was 5 years ago). Reminds me of when I had my mamogram and they redid the suspicious spot on film after the initial digital one.
Back to work for one day - then frantic packing for our trip to Florida. Doubt I'll be on from there unless we hit the college library near where my late dad was.
