1/2 way through the week
Mar. 22nd, 2006 12:31 pmColor Challenge Day 3:
Me: pale yellow v neck sweater with denim shirt underneath (too low cut to wear without something under it), sage colored pants, white socks with rainbow stripes and cats (only pair of socks I had with any yellow in it) (I do not have very much yellow at all for the winter time)
Alan: Yellow sweatshirt with trucks on it in red, green, blue and another color, navy sweatpants, and white socks with tools on them with a gold yellow stripe on top and at the heel and toe. He actually had 3 other yellow background tops, but I chose this one because it was pizza day and I don't care if it gets stained.
Last night Alan and I ran errands. We stopped at the doctor's office for my prescription, then to Christmas Tree Shoppe for a giftcard for someone. (Despite the stores name, it's kind of like a nicer big lots or value city - it's owned by bed bath and beyond.) We managed to see 3 Thomas items there - 2 books and a baby popup toy. Alan wanted the popup toy, but we put it back before I left. They also had a nice little pond with waterfalls outside the store which Alan liked a lot. Then to Rite Aid to get some Free-after-rebate stuff. Two things I wanted were gone alas - but I got a lot of toothbrushes. Unfortunately Alan ran out the inside door of the store (I stopped him before he reached the parking lot - he'd been VERY good till then) while I was paying for the stuff, and I didn't get both toothbrushes I needed for the rebate, so I'll have to go back - maybe friday or saturday to get them. ack.
What was weird is I passed by the road that leads to the main enterance of hackensack hospital going to and from Christmas Tree - and it was blocked off with flares and I saw more flashing lights further down by the hospital. (They were replacing some flares as I drove back, so I guess they were going to be there a while). Nothing was on the bergen.com website about it today (I e-mailed the paper when I got home as I thought it was weird).
Its just another slow day for me, still waiting for something to test. I tried calling Gymboree to see if I could get holds for the new stuff, the boys boxes hadn't even arrived yet. The girls stuff is cute as usually. (It will always be basically cute, until I have a girl to shop for, then I'll probably dislike it). (Note - girl to shop for doesn't me a child of my own necessarily!)
