Color Challenge Day 2 and other rambles
Mar. 21st, 2006 10:08 amToday’s color is red
Me: Darkish Red Tunic Sweater, Gray Pants, Red Socks with White Hearts (valentines socks)
Alan: Red dinosaur sweatshirt with gray trim, lined navy blue wind pants, red socks
Last night I was in bed with Alan. We were channel surfing and I landed on the Food channel with Emeril making some sort of dessert. We watched for a bit (My late grandmother was a big fan of his show) – Alan didn’t mind – but somehow when Mark and I left the room, he managed to open and start eating a box of Fruity Pebbles (the low sugar kind). Afterwards, the show Unwrapped came on. It was rated G, I noticed (how could a food show be rated other than G – any knives you see aren’t supposed to be cutting people) – anyway the part I saw had cactus candy being made, a cooking tour of Somona, and then popcorn from Chicago where they mix together cheese popcorn and a caramel one.
The Daewoo DVD is acting up again, so I’m calling them. Meanwhile I decided to move our other Apex DVD (bought Black Friday 2001) to the living room. I tried to hook it up – but it doesn’t have 2 coaxial cable connections – only 1 and an S-Video. Checking both the instructions from scientific American (makers of our cable box) and the Apex manual didn’t help. I wonder where I can get help on how to do this. (Also our tv/vcr is hooked into our stereo for sound). When I shoved the cable box back under the TV, I managed to knock off the little windup grandfather clock off the top of it (it was my grandmothers). Somehow it hit my head and a little piece of plastic broke off (I glued it back on). I’m ok though but at least I didn’t yell as Mark and Alan were asleep.
Errands tonight – Mark isn’t feeling well, so Alan is going along with me. I have to see my psy for medicine as they won’t phone renew anymore (a pain) and then we’ll go to the Christmas Tree Shoppe (no, it’s not just Xmas stuff – it’s kind of like a fancy Big Lots from what I’ve seen) for a gift card for my uncle’s SO (we aren’t going to the party, she’s still having tests, but appears to be ok for the short term) and then possibly Rite Aid for some free-after-rebate stuff.
This morning while on my way in, I passed Kenny Rodgers singing on Good Morning America!
