Been busy/distracted lately and haven’t written. Expecting snow tomorrow, the kind that goes into the day and messes up commuting. Not sure if I will work from home or go in or take off yet.

Last night in bed Alan said he made hearts in Mrs T’s (public school) program. Then he said I love you. My heart melted, he rarely says that.

I’m trying to get him into his bed and not ours. Last night I fell asleep with him, I got up around 12 and joined DH. I woke up around 5 and ended up on my PC. Then around 5:30, I heard Alan get up and join DH. Heee…

Dh can be annoying sometimes. He got a Three Stooges DVD from Netflix. He wanted to show it to Alan before his bedtime. I said no, but he did anyway. Turns out it was a DOCUMENTARY on the Three Stooges and not episodes. Of course Alan said he liked it, he likes any TV better than bedtime.

I do wish Alan would stop taking Hot Wheels around. He takes them to school (and has misplaced a few) and he takes them to bed (one in each hand). And he so wants the “crashing thing” (http://www.hotwheels.com/showcase/product.aspx?product_number=K4316&category_id=7589).

He got his “report card” yesterday. He’s making improvement, which is good. I did wonder about the speech part of his IEP, I didn’t see much improvement there. I also got a note regarding absences. He’s been out 5x this year and late once. One absence was due to lack of transit between daycare->school->daycare, once was due to taking him to work with me, and twice was due to our trip to Florida, and once I can’t recall. So anyway, I spoke to the school – apparently it went to all students with over 5 absences but it probably doesn’t affect him, he won’t even be in kindergarten till 2008.

I need to look into a sticker/reward chart for him – I have Thomas stickers but need to find a chart I can use (preferably premade). I need to get him into routines in the AM/PM that he does more himself. And get him to use the potty for #2.

The other night we went to Lodi Buffet (the one with the fish). Although the food was fine, the fish weren’t doing well. The very biggest fish was gone and several others were very legarthic, perhaps lacking oxygen. There were new smaller fish, but it wasn’t the same. I liked to show my fingers to the largest fish, which usually led him to open his mouth!
