Kindergarden and hot lunch?
Apr. 26th, 2007 10:51 amThe town I am in currently has a full day public kindergarden and a cafeteria with cold lunch (sandwiches) available. Total enrollment pre-k through 8 is 961 students.
The town we are considering moving to is implementing a modified full day kindergarden (3 full days, 2 1/2 days) and has no cafeteria - lunch is only provided when the PTO treats the students - I think you can buy milk though The k-6 school would have 580 students in it (2 elementary schools in town, each of that size).
I've never heard of the 1/2 day and full day thing - is done anywhere else? Also does anyone else have a school with no cafeteria - I guess I take it for granted having attended grades 2-12 where there was a cafeteria AND hot lunch.
