Commuting - ugh
Nov. 1st, 2007 10:22 pmI got into work today late. Not because Alan was grumpy (he was, I ended up giving him some Halloween marshmellows to make him happy) - but due to a accident in the Lincoln Tunnel. Did I get any notification from NJ transit or my local news stations who text me updates on my cell phone. No!
Anyway I complained to NJ transit via e-mail - not only were there no bus announcements or text/e-mail notices, but the contact us form was down.
So anyway, they said the server (for contact us) had memory problems - the announcements on the phone/text weren't sent by a human to the right bus lines (people sign up with their bus routes) and the on bus radio system requires human sign in and has dead spots. Well at least I spoke to someone about it because of my e-mail (including e-mailing the head of NJ transit).
Listened to some CD's that we reserved from the library tonight - The Hives are kind of cool but the Firery Furnaces are awful.
