Relative Stuff

Sometime ago I put some information a Jewish Genealogy site www.jewishgen.org. I don't have much about my family tree, except on my paternal grandmother's side. Some relative had put together a tree in 1964 and I got an update to it about 2-3 years ago. I had it filed away but didn't think much about it.
I recently heard from someone who had been on the website searching on the name Szerlip (my paternal grandmother's maiden name, the one I have the tree on). Looking at my stuff, I think we could be very distantly related so I'm sending her a copy of the stuff I have. I rechecked the site to see if anyone turned up under any other of my grandparent's names. Silverson (my maternal grandmother's name) turned up just me. There are too many Kaisers (maternal grandmother's name) to check out - I need to find out if my cousin has the family tree my mom made when she was in school in the 1940's - I'd given it to my uncle upon her death, and my uncle died about 2-3 years ago.
I looked under Schur (paternal grandfather's name, my maiden name). I found a Joanne in Newburg. Wait, my dad had a Cousin Joanie in Newburgh - I met her once when I was very small. So I e-mailed her. She is my dad's cousin! So I actually found a long lost (to me) relative :)
Sadly, when I looked through the documents from 1964 (and it is quite detailed), I found out I had a relative who had died in the concentration camps. I never knew that. I'm at least 3rd generation American as all my grandparents were born here, and I think I'm 7th generation if you go back through the Kaiser's - I think they came to the southeast US (Savannah or Charleston) in the mid 1800's. (I think the name was changed to Kaiser when they came here though.)
