Some accomplishments this weekend.
I made it to the festival I had hoped to make before having Alan after all. It was warmer than I thought it would be (near 80) and my feet were swollen, but I enjoyed the day and walked around. Didn't find any good bargains - all I ended up with were 2 nursing shirts and a newborn hat (the kids clothes were not in good shape, especially the boys). Came home - took a nap - 3 handy friends came over and help with finish the dressing table/chest and assembling the crib. Both pieces of furniture are now in our bedroom and look nice. All I have to do is remove the sheet from the crib mattress and wash it before putting it back. I've also gotten a lead on a possible pad I can use with the Ikea table - its a terry cloth one for tables with folding changing table tops (I didn't buy Ikeas one, and the standard vinyl one doesn't fit). All of the clothes are now in the dresser - I've gotten something to keep socks in so they won't fall out or go flying when looking for clothes.
Today we had a computer emergency :( My 4 1/2 year old scanner died - when DH needed it for work. So we made a trip to Best Buy, got a Visoneer on sale and put it in. Even a low-end scanner now is better than what I had, I'm impressed.
I've got a few odds and ends to do this week -- but with the crib/dresser done, feel mostly ready for little Alan. However, as far as I can tell, nothings happening ...hopefully I'll know something more after tommorrows 9:15 AM appointment with an ultra sound.
My belly button has just about popped out now, and I have this dark brown spot on one side of the sticking up part...Is this my pop up timer telling me he's done?
