Christmas Eve Eve

Last night we all went to the Italian grocery to get stuff for my xmas party. I offered to bring fruit salad as I was driving in to the city with Alan. Do not do that again - the fruit was marked up massively expensive and was lousy. I ended up getting two pineapples as part of the fruit and I do not know how to cut them very well.
We also stopped at the children's clothing store owned by the same people. I'd had a coupon for a large stuffed sponge bob for 4.98. It was a sponge bob cuddle pillow, they still had them left and it was 1/2 price the coupon. It is 26" tall (Alan is like 32 or 33 inches)! Alan loved it. He might actually like a stuffed animal now.
Today after doing stuff in the AM (mailing eBay packages, cutting pineapple, getting extra cut fruit for the salad, and getting gas) we drove into my office. I hadn't slept well last night so I was very tired (had a sinus headache) - it took us 20 minutes just to get across town from the gas station (electric company work blocked a lane of the road to the NJ turnpike...grr..)
Alan liked my office, I think. He didn't really interact with the other kids (and there were a few within 6 months either side of him). I didn't get much work done if any - the problem I've been working on testing can't even get the environment setup right...sigh. My fruit salad did go over well. I snapped some pictures at my desk (probably not ok, since our software was up.). It was hard since we have a very open office - I don't even have a cube. I had parked across the street and had to take Alan in and out in the stroller (because I was carrying toys in a bag and fruit salad). It cost an arm and leg (25.00!) for parking for a few hours. Alan did sleep going in and out in the car which was good. It took a while to get home due to the rain/wind in NY/NJ.
But we are safely home waiting for Mark to come home. Alan's on the futon behind me watching Nick. I didn't know Sponge Bob was on at 5 PM (as well as 8 PM) :)
