Sigh

I had a bit of a scare tonight. I had come up the stairs to the apartment building and dropped some stuff and was fiddling with the key to the front door. Alan was on hands and knees apparently having slipped coming up the stairs (I wasn't holding his hand and the stairs were damp). I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden I heard him crying and he was head first downward on the stairs. I picked him up, I held him, I cried oh god - I took his hat off and checked his head, eventually I carried him inside the door and put him down and got the packages. He stopped crying and I held his hand as we went down the 1/2 flight to our floor. By the time I got into the condo he seemed fine. He's acted normal ever since, eating dinner, playing, drawing,  and is out now with Mark (I didn't tell him what happened, he was in the condo at the time) at the supermarket. Mark even called me as he wanted to get Alan a train set (unfortunately we have nowhere to put it here, and MIL was afraid of it being at her place.)

I guess it was the upside down thing that scared me. I'm still a little shook, maybe because he fell at 9 months and lost the teeth or just cause it could have been worse with hard concrete.

it is absolutely terrifying when they fall down stairs. Em fell once and it just freaked me out. I'm still really really touchy about her on our non carpeted stairs and she's almost three.
