We had a pediatrician I really loved in Houston. He's down by the Astrodome though. Dr Jorge Barer. He's from Mexico, and has a very thick accent, but is pretty easy to understand. It caught me off guard the first time I talked to him though. I grew up on the border so I was familiar with the sound. (Just something you might want to be aware of.)

I don't have a problem usually with that accent (I have hearing loss, and some accents *are* difficult for me, but years of Spanish class and living in areas with large Hispanic populations make Mexican accents pretty easy). Isn't that Houston's Medical Center area?

Yep, it's in the medical center, sort of, kinda like the outskirts.
