1. What is your most prized material possession?

I would say my computer. I would be lost without one. If you count animate objects, I'd say my cats.

2. What item, that you currently own, have you had the longest?

The oldest thing that I can think of I have is my dad's birth certificate (born in 1925, this may be the original copy). As far owned the longest, the first thing I can think of is a pair of shorts I wore in 8th grade (they don't fit). I used to have a charm on a necklace from third grade (replacing the orginal I got when I was born), but I lost it last year.

3. Are you a packrat?

Very much so. DH must less except for his work papers. Alan has a lot of stuff, because his mom loves to buy him clothes.

4. Do you prefer a spic-and-span clean house? Or is some clutter necessary to avoid the appearance of a museum?

I prefer to have the junk stuff in drawers and closet and not in piles, but that's a lost cause these days -- some the drawers don't close (that's life in a too small apartment).

5. Do the rooms in your house have a theme? Or is it a mixture of knick-knacks here and there?

Mixture of knicknacks. I have a few collections: some Star Trek books, soa shotglass collection, some ceramic animals. We have a white apartment with beige/gold in the flooring/carpet/tile/wallpapers (kind of 70's) - I've done some coordinating but its nothing fancy.

1. What is your most prized material possession? hmmm. Tough one. I am not very thing-oriented. I guess I'd say my wedding rings and then my house!

2. What item, that you currently own, have you had the longest? I don't keep things for long! I guess I'd have to say some of my stuff from my childhood, and pictures of loved ones.

3. Are you a packrat? No, not at all except for my kids' artwork. I have a tough tough time thinning that out. Jim is a packrat though, so our house looks very pack-ratty.

4. Do you prefer a spic-and-span clean house? Or is some clutter necessary to avoid the appearance of a museum? I love a clean house but will never have one because I hate to clean and can't afford a live in maid!

5. Do the rooms in your house have a theme? Or is it a mixture of knick-knacks here and there? no theme. Just a mixture. We have beige walls, tan carpet, and our furniture is second hand, much of it. It doesn't make sense to get new furniture with little kids around.
