Ok, I admit to being anti-Bush, but not a big fan of political discussions.

However, there appears to be a little "chat" going on under my post about Bush's admission of fault today.

Discuss away, but I'll just be lurking, as I don't like flame wars.

I do apologize for hi-jacking your journal. I'll stop now. Plus it is at the point where no one is going to be convinced they are wrong and change thier mind.

I found the diversity of my online friends views interesting. It's ok :)

Um, she said it was ok to discuss.
It's one thing to walk away from a discussion to take the high road. It is quite another when you don't have any way to back up your statements. Did you find a source yet for your "Bush is associating Katrina with terrorists and 9-11" yet? Just curious.

Thanks for the link!
If you read the article, he's talking about international response to the tragedy, as they did when the tragedy that is 9-11 occurred . The title of the article is deceptive that way. Also, I would not say there is any commentary of his "linking Katrina to terrorists."

I am also anti Bush on some of his policies. But, it seems when some of the anti Bush people are pressed with the facts, they have NOTHING to back up their statements. It's a fact; I've seen it go on and on for years.
I just like getting to the truth. Some of the anyone but Bush camp would rather not be informed, it appears, or back up their empty claims.
But, when you put anything political on your blog, sometimes, there will be discussion. Sometimes, there will be idiotic empty statements as well.

I'm not anti or pro bush.
Didn't vote for him either time but that was because he is much more.. um.. I guess the word is conservative then I am.
I just matched up better with other canidates in policies, beliefs etc..

I do think that with everything bush has faced in his two terms he doesn't have that great of a track record.. More specifically it seems like the mistakes or fumbles he makes overshadows any good that he does.

Now most of that, of course, has to do with the media.. Reporters are always fast to jump on the bandwagon of mud slinging whether it be republican or democrat mud. So the good things are overlooked and the negative things are greatly broadcast.

Some past presidents had the ability to shake off negative things even when they screwed up. Bush doesn't seem to have that ability and his popularity is just falling and falling..

I think because of this, that bush's presidency will most likely go down in history on the negative side.
(when compared to all the presidents the usa has had)
But just my opinions and only my opinion.

Whether or not he deserves that title... well I don't know...
But I really think that will be how he is portrayed in history.
Again just my opinion.

Pretty fascinating stuff. I'm not well enough to go digging for sources to back up my thoughts right now or I'd jump in :-)
