We had an eventful weekend.

Saturday AM, Alan and I went shopping. Went to Gymboree to redeem Gymbucks, Baby Gap to use a gift certificate he got when he was born, and to Target for storage boxes, and a dust buster for cleaning among other things. Later all 3 of us went to a nearby mall for last minute birthday present at Macy's for a friend of ours, and DH found a good deal on shorts for him and also got some shoes he needed. We then met our friends at the local park. It was Alan and Jeff's first time at the park (we wanted to go to the zoo, but it closed at 4:30). Both boys went on the swings and we slid them down the slide. We then went our birthday friends house and then out to dinner. Even though Alan had napped during the shopping, the restaurant was too much for him. He kept crying, at one point he was so upset, even though I was trying to nurse him in the bathroom, he wouldn't eat at all. We did manage to eat dinner, although I didn't enjoy it. Jeff, who was almost 10 months old was much better behaved, he ate some food, grabbed food of his parent's plate and even managed to push the table a bit. We left before dessert, came home and all 3 of us crashed in bed.

Alan was still fussy on Sunday, but we decided to go to a nearby supermarket because it was so nice. He fell asleep in supermarket, stayed asleep in the car, and then slept at home in the car seat, it was at least 2 1/2 hour nap. I was able to sort his clothes into different storage boxes - one box for storage for next winter (bargains in size 12m and up), and another to give away/keep (sizes 0-3 months and some smaller 3 and 6 month stuff).

Later we gave him his first solid food - rice cereal and breast milk. He moved his hand while I tried to give him his first bite and got 3/4 on him, so there wasn't much to give him. It was just as well, as he didn't really care for it, he may not be ready (still has tongue thrust reflex).

I also got the chance to put up lots of photos at Walmart so I can get prints which we needed :)
