Thyca.org (The thyroid cancer support group) publishes a brochure with their celebrity spokesperson Catherine Bell who starred on JAG prominently featured.
Got the latest thryoid newsletter from Mary Shmon (a thyroid care advocate, mostly about hypo and hyper thryoidism). It contained this article:

Apparently, Catherine Bell is a scientologist. Now it has been widely documented that they are against psychatric care and medicines - but I don't know how they feel about medicine overall. It worries me that she may not be following proper care of herself (thyroid medicine daily and periodic follow up). I hope she is. But some thyca surviors do feel better on psychatric medicine afterwards due to just the stress of a cancer diagnosis and getting their body chemicals balanced - I hope she doesn't discourage that.
