Sarah Jessica Parker's son James, is about 2 weeks younger than Alan. I admit to "following" him in the gossip magazines. So I was surprised to read an article similar to the link below where he asks to see Brokeback Mountain:

Alan hasn't asked to see a movie. He barely tells us what he did that day in school! I doubt the kids in his class would be discussing Brokeback Mountain anyway.
Actually, the scenario appears to be twisted from a story here:

where he saw the DVD and possibly TV commercials which makes more sense.

Date: 2006-03-21 05:18 am (UTC)We've discovered, however, that even though we put a TV in her room (not connected to anything except a DVD player and her InteracTV), we cannot allow her to have access to the DVDs themselves. She's obsessed with them, won't leave them in cases, and has destroyed quite a few already. And those things aren't cheap, dang it!

Date: 2006-03-21 04:07 pm (UTC)I love SJP. My best friend got me her new perfume for my bday and I am not a scent-wearer (beyond soaps and lotions) and I must say, it's pretty good and very subtle. I saw SJP on Ellen once and it was at least 6 months ago...she was saying how James Wilke was saying, "Mom, who is that blonde woman on TV?" And, then went on to say he loves Ellen (after SJP identified her) repeatedly. Holy cow...definitely different circles from N's dialog too. The most mature thing that we've grappled with is the fact that N and her little friends at preschool are all into "pretty skirts" and in order to avoid slowing down the morning, N Must Wear A Skirt With Tights (no leggings) every day. It's a cute phase, at least. She has had an opinion about what she wears for awhile now. But, I have a lot of jeans and pants that are just collecting dust, sigh.

Date: 2006-03-21 04:27 pm (UTC)Alan is still in the I don't care what I wear phase. Maybe once in a while he shows interest in a Thomas shirt, but I could put anything on. He only knows how to take off his shoes and socks anyway.
