Despite the fact that it is that * messy * time of the month again, it’s a good day. (Even though I don’t have the pain some people have, the mess and laundry stainage still s*cks!)

Got Alan up earlier because I had to drop off the car at the Chevy dealer. They’ve agreed to fix the car for free (although it looks like it was broken into at one time.) They also noted that there is extra corrosion under the car – like it sat in water. They appear to be willing to offer me a nice deal on a 2006 Cobalt. Don’t know if we’ll do it or not – but I did see a nice RED 4 door one on the lot the last time I was there (red is not boring like silver is!). I also saw a cute 2003 Toyota Echo if I could convince Mark to replace the ratty old Geo. (They probably will sell the Echo quickly with gas prices the way they are…it looks so tiny with the big SUV’s, trucks and a Hummer next to it! I guess someone one traded it because they needed something bigger.

(Note, this dealer didn’t sell me the car, I got it from a person operating out of a used car dealership on the local used car row on Rt. 46 – never again)

At least I take the bus to work – NJ Transit trains are all a mess because of some Amtrak power outage. Where is Thomas the Tank Engine when you need him!

Hey, I sympathize - the best I can do with the laundry stuff is to hit it with cold water ASAP. Peroxide may help too.

Actually, I have had great success with using Carbona Blood Stain Remover on those messes. It comes in a tiny little yellow bottle where the stain remover stuff is. It once cleaned up a romper Alan bled all over in when he had a fall. The romper looked as good as new after the wash!

I so hear you on the laundry and crud surrounding the messy time.

Aside from the occassional back up on Route 53, luckily I don't have the commute issues that you and others heading into the city do. I couldn't do that now. I am spoiled by my half hour commute.

I would love such a short commute. For a brief time in 2001, I worked and drove to Newark. The commute was ok, but I really didn't feel safe going out and the cafeteria in the Blue Cross building where my consulting assignment was awful (you'd think a health insurance company would have good food). It was a long month.
