How The Day Gets Away From Me

I get to work on PC from home 2-3 days a week. But somedays it is hard getting started:

• Settle down with my coffee and bagel from Dunkin Donuts that I picked up after dropping Alan at daycare.


• Stop reading LJ and start editing document


• Go to the bathroom from drinking coffee


• Discover it's THAT time of the month and there is damage to be cleaned up


• Decided to wash soiled underware and pants and some of Alan's summer stuff not yet washed in a cold water wash


• Rummage for quarters - I have pay laundry


• Gather clothes, laundy detergent, Oxyclean, Zout and start laundry - including searching for sock bag and one item I couldn't find for 5 minutes...


• Top of laundry detergent falls behind washer, can't reach it


• Search coat closet for grabber thing, can't find it after removing lots of junk. End up grabbing cat toy because it's long and stuffing everything back into closet.


• Using tape on end of cat toy, finally retrieve cap as well as 2 socks, one of which WAS mine!


• Now time to put laundry in dryer and rummage for coins again as I couldn't find the ones I had found earlier :(


• Return to PC, get resettled, start fighting with Word 2000 to edit document.


• Time to pump :(

Hopefully my boss won't see this :)

i love the option of working at home, but it always seems there is something else I could be doing while I was at home!!
