Tired and brain fogged. Just don’t seem to sleep well lately. Maybe if I can ever get Alan into his room and to bed earlier I won’t stay up and surf.

Yesterday walking home I passed BB Kings on 42nd Street. A lot of times there is a line for the show that night. I often see a crowd dressed for metal/alternative music waiting. Last night the tiny line seemed to consist of white haired women – at first I thought they were waiting for a bus or taxi. Then I saw who was playing – Wayne Newton! I suspect it was a very polite crowd!

We went to Boston Market for dinner – saw Alan’s daycare classmates (twins) there. I think they ate better than Alan – all he had was creamed spinach, a little mashed potato, water, ice (he munched it!) and ½ a corn bread. No turkey and gravy. Then we went to Target to check out the toys on 75% off. Because I was with Mark, we didn’t get much – a Spongebob playset for 1.98 and a bouncy ball (for .24 cents!). Mark also got a box of synder’s pretzels, his favorites. Actually, this was all on Target – I bought soda on sale recently – 4 12 packs for 10.00 with a 5.00 gift card. I still have 29 cents on the card!

When we got home, Nick was playing a 10th anniversary of Blues Clues special. Then this morning after Miffy, they put the same special on Noggin. I got sucked into it and was almost late. It seemed weird to run it at 7:50 AM.

We were going to go to the beach Sunday but alas it will be too hot and humid. I think we will be lucky to swim in the pool. Saturday I need to take Alan to Stride Rite for shoes for the fall (or at least get him measured). At least we won’t be going to my SIL’s in Jersey City – not fun on a hot day.

My daughter just LOVES the creamed spinach there too! I thought I had the rare child that just loves spinach! I ask "Hey, how about some spinach with dinner tonight?" And I get as big a "Yay!" as if I'd offered chocolate cake.

It seems like her feet hardly grew at all for a while. I just had her measured at Stride Rite - and she went from a 7 to a nine almost overnight. Wow ... those litte cute feet are growing *small sentimental sob*
