My DH is a picky eater. To make sure Alan eats better, I've bought all sorts of
different kinds of (jarred) baby food. (I don't usually have time to cook at
night). I've even bought the "Tropical" flavors: mango, guava and
papaya. (DH likes frozen mangos). Alan's had the guava so far and I think he
likes it - when I mixed it with cereal yesterday he even grabbed the spoon and
put it in his mouth at one point! He didn't like banans/plums/brown rice
however :(

I've also tried to give him cheerios (store brand). He doesn't seem to like
them. I also gave him yesterday a tiny bit of the soft inside of a french fry -
he didn't like that at all, I got the are you trying to poison me look.

What foods have your babies liked and disliked?

Emily loved jared peaches, peas, green beans and sweet potatos. She still loves all of those things but especially peaches and green beans.

Alex drew the line pretty firmly - baby food sucked, real food was the best. ;) Definitely more challenging for me!

I've tried figuring out what DH means and I still haven't understood it. What's DH?

Aaron liked carrots, sweet potatoes and squash, to the point that he actually turned a little orange. I panicked and thought he was jaundiced! The doctor got a good laugh out of that one. Aaron liked fruit and yogurt, too. I used to put watermelon in the blender for him so it came out spoonable and mushy. He loved that.

Hannah liked cottage cheese, oatmeal, potatoes, bread (white) and some baby meats. She didn't like anything with roughage, unfortunately, so we had a problem with constipation and gas for a while there.

Aaron still likes fruits and vegetables (he'll actually ASK for a salad!) Hannah loves white foods - and Grandma's green beans. I think they're born with likes and dislikes.

harrison loved canned foods mushed up..i never really went the jarred baby food route. i'm too cheap. he looooved pumpkin and carrots, applesauce, rice cereal, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes (very easily microwaved), and the crack of the baby world: stoneyfield yoghurt.

the trick was always to offer the veggies first and then the sweet stuff (or the veggies wouldn't get eaten).

I've been pondering getting the Stonneyfield Yogurt (yo baby) for Alan. I may try it next week.
