Yesterday's entry just snuck in under the wire. We had a busy day going to a nature center and over to Mark's mom's where I had to replace her DSL modem.
Today we had friends over - we went to Block Buster and got a Disney's Fun and Fancy Free which was a so so animated movie from the late 1940's. We also stopped in at Dollar Tree, we got a few things including a nice fabric wine bag that I can use for bringing wine for Thanksgiving dinner. (The ones they have are nice, they are sort of a velvet brocade and in addition to red and green for Xmas come in burgundy and blue for other occasions).
Alan has seen Cars 2x in the last two days. Good thing DVD's don't wear out like a tape would.
We did cut back his TV/DVD watching over the past 2 days and I think it helped him. But really, no consistant luck with potty training. I did 3 loads of laundry today - mostly due to potty training stuff. Blech.
I tried tonight to play some simple games with Alan (Chutes and Ladders, Thomas Dominos) but I am not sure he can handle the rules yet - he didn't play either very long before wanting out. I also tried to do Legos with him, but that turns into - mommy builds it, Alan plays with it and he then takes it apart - he doesn't seem to want to pay attention how to do it? It is probbaly related to his processing issues/speed - I probably go too fast for him to take in.
Around 6:30 Mark was doing work in the living room so Alan and I went to watch TV in my bedroom. I was on the computer, Alan was watching on the floor. At some point he decided to climb up on the bed and fall asleep. So after a while, I changed him (I had put him in diapers toward the end of the day), put on his fleece sleeper PJ's, and put him in bed. So it's 9:12 PM and he's asleep. He must have needed the sleep.
Grr...the DSL went out for 2 hours - and the tech made me reset the router, deleting the wireless network info. So once it was back I had to remember how to reset it. But both PC's are connected now. Whew. So now I can post!

Date: 2006-11-13 07:49 pm (UTC)How frustrating when you can't reach the net. We have direct cable LAN and on Sunday the net went down and I could not be in LJ so much.
