Not such a bad day. Had my checkup at Sloan Kettering. If this blood test is good (which I think it will be), I won't have to go back till next summer and just for an ultrasound and a blood test, followed by an appointment. That will be be annual plan after that.
Stopped at Gymboree on the way back to the office. Found a shirt for Alan for next year for 5.99. That store had tons of old stuff, alas it isn't convient for me to get there often.
Never did post about Thanksgiving. We were at my cousin's in Ridgewood. He has a high up position at a financial firm. He's done very well, but it did possibly cost him his marriage. However he and his ex wife are still friends and we still see her. Anyway, for Thanksgiving it was us, my cousin, his three kids, his SO, his ex-wife and a friend of hers. Everyone got along, but I missed my grandmother.
My cousin is in the process of setting up a home theatre with a projection TV. The room and equipment are in, but the seats aren't in year. Alan loved it - he liked watching his cousins play on the XBOX hooked to a big screen. We saw Zoolander (by the friend's request) to check it out - not Alan's thing, but it held his attention for a little bit. I was surprised that the DVD player etc was in a closet behind the theatre - for the kind of money this would cost (25K-30K) I'd figure they'd set up a robotic hand to load the player for you :) He also needs a popcorn machine :)
It's nice to be able to do stuff like this, but I'm just happy with a regular TV.
