Happy New Year

It's 12:55 AM. DH is talking to a friend in California, I'm waiting to crash.

Alan fell asleep on the couch about 12:10, keeping up his making till midnight streak. We had gone to a friend's earlier this evening with luscious_purple but came home just in time for the ball to drop - saw it on NBC - Fox was yaking away when the ball was about to drop. After the ball dropped I flipped around and saw Dick Clark - seems to be doing better.

Amazing how corporate Times Square is - Target sponsors the confetti and people had Chevy hats and Korbel balloons. Somehow I don't think any of those items will make a direct sale. There have been Target signs in Times Square for ages, but no store anywhere near. (Someone in the Toys R'US store in Times Square said they were looking for a store in 2008.)

Oh well, hopefully we'll crash soon.

I weighed myself when I got home since I'm starting a diet. 158 lbs :(

Happy New Year, Leslie!

We tuned into the Times Square televised brouhaha about 20 seconds prior to midnight. I thought the same thing about the corporate logos, but then, the last time I was in New York and was in 1988 and Times Square was still its same old seedy self then, before the make-over.

158 would be a dream weight for me. I haven't seen that since high school! I'm 203 right now, and I'd love to get down to 180, but probably couldn't maintain anything lower than that.
