Heading out

Off to Florida for a few days – leaving on a 6 AM flight tomorrow – ugh. So we have to get up super early to drive to the airport. And I finally figured out how to pack with the TSA rules on liquids.
Managed to find stuff for Alan and myself. But while Alan was trying on his old suit last night he managed to go in it – must do laundry quickly tonight.
DH left Alan’s backpack at daycare yesterday. So I ran in there this AM to get the papers from public school that come Wednesdays. Good thing I did – there is now a peanut allergic child in Alan’s class. No more cheese/peanut butter crackers for snacks for Alan. (Can anyone recommend peanut and sesame seed free snacks that I can send that are readily available at the supermarket). Also the toddler room teacher who left was there (visiting). It didn’t register at first that she shouldn’t be there. After I asked for where Alan’s backpack was and she spotted it – I then realized it. She did like her parting gift at least (coffee and a travel mug, she said she was going back to school to be a teacher).
Much stress lately with DH’s big consulting client. New CEO there is not running things well, and after nearly 6 years, DH has to find another anchor client soon. I’m not worried as DH doesn’t let grass grow under his feet. I’ve just been spoiled with him being home 1-2 days a week at times and working in NJ. It would be weird if we both commuted.
Need to get a document done for 5:30 so I should go back to work.
