New Music File

DH and I found a neat new band called Arcade Fire. They'd gotten a lot of press lately in Rolling Stone and Blender, so we borrowed the CD from the library.

They have a lot of New Wave influence (DH is a big fan of that era's music) and I also hear Bruce Springsteen in them (must be the NJ in me!)

I first heard them about two years ago, they had a popular video with "Rebellion" (Lies) and "Power Out" got some airplay, too. I see they got a gig on SNL a few weeks ago with their new stuff out. I like the strange instruments the incorporate...like the hurdy-gurdy!

This is a great place for free and legal downloads. Arcade Fire took down their stuff from the first album though.

Isn't it awesome not only when you discover a new band but when the library has their stuff? I love libraries! LOL....
