1.When did you first connect ("go online"), and how?
Pre-net days I was on Peoplelink in the mid 1980's and compuserve around 1990 and 1993-1996 or so.
On the Net in 1997.
2. What was your first communications program?
Peoplelink software in the 80's, AOL/Juno in 1997.
3. When did you first chat over the Internet, and how?
Probably in the Peoplelink days @ 300/1200 baud. Never been much for chat.
4. What chat type program(s) do you use now?
None really. Have AIM, don't use it.
5. Who was your first service provider?
Peoplelink in the 1980's/CIS in the late 80's (worked for a company owned by them), then 1993-1996 and AOL/Juno in 1997
6. Did you ever use AOL?
Yes. From 1997 (start of unlimited monthly time) till last summer when we got Verizon Online. DH still uses an AOL account shared with his mother for e-mail.
7. Do you admit using AOL in public?
Yes
8. Who is your current ISP?
Verizon On-line (still use Juno for e-mail over the DSL connection)
9. What was the first computer that you used to access the 'net?
Well, I was on-line with my TRS80 model 1, but first "net" computer was a used 486/66 (work surplus)
10. What computer do you use to access the 'net today?
Dell 2.4GHZ just purchased.
11. What was your first 'net handle?
I don't remember my earlier handles, but my AOL handle was lesliepear (hence the LJ name).
12. Did you use any other handles for any length of time? If so, what were they?
No.
13. What 'net handle do you normally use now?

14. Are you active on any Web sites other than LJ?
No, but lots of mailing lists.
