We had a busy weekend - lots of social stuff as usual:

Friday - actually cleaned out my coupon box backlog and went to A&P for a
double coupon freebie (a friend told us about it). Tried the self checkouts,
interesting.
Saturday - went to MILs, got two convertible car seats at a good price at Value City. (Two seats in boxes do not fit in a Geo Prism very well, I rode from the store back to my mother-in-laws sitting atop Alan's car seat base (we left Alan at my MILs) - and we left one seat behind at her place, she dropped it off on Sunday).
Then we went to visit my late BIL's parents who had never seen Alan - we have to go there,
the husband has serious cat allergies. They were thrilled and Alan was good.
I nursed Alan while we were there - I knew their daughter was a natural
type - she lives in Vermont and is very laid back, so I figured they'd understand - the husband left the room with
apologies, the wife was fine.
Sunday - we went to Alan's "cousins" first birthday (the friends of ours who
adopted a little boy). Alan was a good boy around all the strange people and
got compliments. He was actually better behaved (in my opinion) than the
birthday boy who was a little cranky and had a slight cold. But I think
everyone had a good time. I gave Alan a microscopic bit of cake frosting. I
think he liked it. I'd also given him a tiny bit of melon we cut up for
fruit salad, I tried to put it in the baby safe feeder, but he didn't seem
too interested.
Monday - we wanted to go to a small festival in Allentown, PA but the rain
here nixed that idea. So we visited an upstairs neighbors boy (10 months
old) and then had lunch. We then went out - I had to replace my computer
chair that broke over the weekend and DH got me a gold bracelet with baby
shoe charm as a birthday/anniversary/baby present - very nice :) Alan also had YoBaby Yogurt for the first time, and loved it :)

This is the chair I will get (have to pick it up tonight - my hatchback car comes in useful again)

I need a sturdy chair as I tend to do a lot of NAK (nursing at keyboard). The chair is a "copy" of the so-expensive Herman Miller Aeron chair, which I have at work (since we took over a failed dot com that could spend that kind of money on chairs.

Today will most likely be my last work at home day for a while. Rats.
(Figures the computer chair breaks just before I won't be in it so much).
I will take advantage of being home though and get the car seat installed at lunch by our town's child seat tech/police officer. The "bucket" will get retired, although my daycare provider wants to use it to feed him in for a while. (I think you can use the seat around the house when they get too big but not in a car!)
