Regarding being talkative -- I used to get my name on the board for that occasionally, back in elementary school. :) Sometimes it was for talking to my seatmates, and sometimes (even worse!) it was for addressing the teacher without raising my hand first! I was even known to occasionally get OUT of my seat without permission. I think 3rd grade was the worst. Ah, the memories. *giggle* Sounds like Alan is a happily social boy, which is great, since I remember most of the boys in my kindergarten class were NOT as social as us girls. heh
Oh, and he has good taste in Halloween costumes -- I was a pirate last year and I might do the same this year. Well, it's actually more like a "piratical spin" on my Renaissance Faire wench costume, but close enough! ;D
