Midweekend Update

Despite the fact it was cruddy out today, DH, a friend, Alan and I checked out a little of the town-wide garage sale in my MILs town. Surprisingly I found what we were looking for - some people were still holding their sales. Covered by an umbrella was an practically brand new Exersaucer for 15.00. It was an older one but it had extra toys on it, and even the instructions saved by the previous owner! So we paid for it, we went back home (20 minutes away) to get my hatchback car, picked it up (fit perfectly in the hatch!) and drove it home. Alan loves it! He could play almost all day in it.

We also went to Trader Joes and I got Alan avacado (frozen) and Joe's O's.

Some other friends came over and had Chinese with us for dinner. They've left, its just us now, and I've got laundry waiting for the dryer.

I saw the Belmont Stakes horse race today and I think Funny Cide's owner made a mistake letting him out front too soon. He just didn't have a strech run in him :(

Oh and Alan can sit up a little on his own. You have to sit him, but he can hold for a little bit before flopping.

They certainly are.

I wish I could take a photo of it...if the previous owner hadn't saved the paperwork showing a 1998 date, you'd never know it was used. And it doesn't have any really annoying noisy toys or lights, just some animal sounds.

(I did check for recalls, there weren't any).

ooh man! what a great deal. exersaucers are so expensive! the only reason we had one was because my aunt bought it for us.

ben LOVED his excersaucer. i hope joaquin does too.

how old is alan?

almost 8 months. A little late for the exersaucer (I know they can start @ 4 months, but the space we had for it was in use by a swing). But at 15.00 I don't feel bad if he only uses it a few months.
