There's got to be a better way

Arrive at 6pm for a mamogram appointment.
Don't get taken for paperwork till 6:20 (and some of it could have been sent in advance or taken from the files).
End up going for the big squish at 7:30
Get out at 7:40 after 5 photos (one had to be retaken, the bottom didn't come out (bad angle or something)).
And now I wait 5-10 business days for the results.

Just a horribly inefficient process :(
But at least it is 1x a year - hopefully forever.

Gosh, I hope mine is not so bad. I have never gone and I was told that they do not schedule appointments, that you just come in. I better find out if that is true first before I go in.

This is at a superbusy regional hospital with evening appointments. Walkins probably won't be bad, hopefully you can call ahead to see the wait time.

I dread this event in my life... can't be worse than childbirth though! Glad yours is done for a year.

The event itself isn't all that bad (just take a tylenol before hand if you can) - but the waiting and scheduling at this hospital s*cks. At least this is pretty much a just show up, nothing special beforehand kind of test - no dieting or taking anything first.
