It started with leaving the book I'm reading at work ("Watchmen" -  a graphic novel - so far it reads like a more adult version of the Incredibles about retired superheros). So I couldn't read it on the bus.

Then I went out to pick up a pair of soccer cleats from freecycle  for Alan - it was actually from someone I know, but I'd never been to their house.

First I stopped in Staples to get some $1.00 stuff (specifically 4 Sharpie markers for 1.00 - we always lose them). All of it was sold out.

Next  had an awful time finding the turnoff from Rt 46 to another street following Google Map's directions. I have a lot of trouble finding side streets off main roads in the dark without street signs (I kept thinking it was at an intersection with a light). I eventually did get to her house and got the shoes.

Stopped at the supermarket for a few things and got home 9:30. So much for Alan having a bath last night - anyway about 5 minutes after I got in the door - Alan got up from lying on the couch watching TV and barfed. He got the sheet on the couch and the blanket and himself. Then he barfed more in the bathroom.

DH and I were upset - Alan never barfs. I can only recall 1-2 other times he's done it (other than babyhood).  Panic insued including trying to find the ear covers for thermometer (I found them). He did seem ok after that although upset (mad) about being sick - I think he thought he was in trouble after we reassured him he wasn't. We got him (and the bathroom and bed cleaned up) and he went to be with no problems.

He'd eaten cereal with dinner - the milk was 2 days past the sell by date. Yet he and I had cereal with the same milk in the morning?

He seemed fine this but not really hungry (he has skipped breakfast occasionally though). I sent him to school, since I do think it was a one off thing.

Anyway, we will probably be snowbound tommorrow - we need to clean up in the house and find the mysteriously missing library CD's. Either DH or I misplaced them - we borrowed them to copy (don't tell, we do it all the time) - they were on our bed  - got moved at bedtime and we don't know what happened next? (Alan's off the hook on this one, he wouldn't touch them.)

Back to work...

I hope Alan's okay! :)

Nate was supposed to go to school today. He woke up at 11:30 last night with croup. :( He's home with me today, acting totally fine other than the fever that he insists he doesn't have (it's 101, too!!). He's not slowing down a bit.

I, on the other hand, am exhausted! :(

Hope Alan is OK. There is a very nasty stomach virus making the rounds. Two people from my office were out this week and I read online that there is an outbreak of both samonella and norovirus (whatever that is!)

I guess you never bought the GPS?

Poor little guy, it's reallly scary for kids when they throw up. Probably just a virus, not the milk. Hope he's over it. Good luck with the snow.

We have Watchmen but I haven't re-read it for a while. I think they are making a movie about it.
