lesliepearSnuck off at work to reception - where quite a few employees were watching and the phones were very quiet.
Obama was a bit nervous on the oath. Fortunately, legally, he became president at noon, even without the oath. He gave a good speech though.
Hopeful for a better next 4 years.

Date: 2009-01-20 08:10 pm (UTC)I find it sad that I never thought I'd live to see the day someone *other* than a white male would be president, and EXTREMELY happy to have been proved wrong! It's very odd to feel hope after 8 years of almost forgetting what the word meant.
