A gray November day at High Point State Park in NJ. Wasn't really dressed warm enough but the scenery and views were worth the trip. A nice day out for DH and I. We also stopped at Layfette Village, a quiet Chinese buffet in Byram and found a neat thrift shop in Newton where we got a Battleship game for Alan whom we missed. If you click into the picture in flickr you can see some other shots taken today.

Of course that monument looks like the Washington Monument and the Bunker Hill Monument....

Yup. Not exactly original.

When I first saw the photo, I thought, "Wait - I don't remember her saying she planned a trip to Washington, DC!"

Are all the Battleship games the new electronic version? I acquired an ancient no-battery model from a yard sale a few years ago. MiniPlu really loves this game - we played a LOT when she was home sick a few weeks ago - but Two's not up for it quite yet. I, meanwhile, am thankful we have the non-flashy version.

The old fashioned one. It's a fairly new one because of the Hasbro logo on the box - of the 2 or 3 they had there, this one looked like it had all the pieces and the instructions - I think it was barely played.
