The pediatrician said to elevate the head of the mattress to help Alan with
his cold. So I stuck a box and a book under the mattress to raise it, making
the mattress slant a bit.

Last night, I put Alan to bed on his back with his head pointed up the
slope. I went to bed around 11, and Alan had somehow rolled on his
side/tummy with his head down toward the bottom of the bed, slanting the
"WRONG" way. Silly baby!

Alan was much better today. Still not 100% - still an occasional sneeze but
more vocal (but a little clingly).

We went to Boston Market for dinner and Alan ate the creamed spinach and
mashed potatoes with gravy and a bite of turkey. Then we went to Target - I
got a good deal on Pampers (8.99 less a 1.50 coupon and a 1.00 target only
one from the web) and some gerber veggie wheels for him to munch. Alas the
75% off summer stuff was gone...and I didn't have to time to bargain hunt :(

While waiting in line Alan got cranky. DH got him an AOL disk in shrink wrap
and playing with it (bopping it) amused him. We took it away from him when
he tried to eat it :(

Katie did the same thing when she was sick and they said to elevate the mattress. :) You're not alone! I found a vaporizer helped more than anything else. I hope little Alan gets to feeling better.
