Another busy weekend.

Saturday AM we ran errands. Got another car seat for the day care provider (got the last one at Value City that was like our Graco and still only 40.00 - it was open box, everything was there so we took it.) We discarded the box before we left the shopping area, there was no way to get in the car otherwise :( Then off to Toys R Us to get another high chair (and some diapers while there).

Then we came home and we needed to lower the Ikea crib as Alan started to reach over it on Friday. I tried to get DH to help but he is so unhelpful. I'd ask him to hold something, he'd be like "Can I call a friend"...or he'd be in the computer room...Argh. Anyway he ended up taking a nap on the computer room futon with Alan and I was able do it myself (I had some trouble because there were different sized screws I'd removed, but I figured it out which went back where). The crib looks odd all lowered, but I figure I am used to it being up high as it had been that way for nearly 10 months (since last September when it was assembled). Alan didn't mind the lowering at all.

Then off to my MIL's for a quick dinner and then to some friends for a birthday cake. Alan was very good at our friends until he got tired and it was hot in our friends kitchen. We gave him a smidge of frosting even :)

Sunday, after some hesitation due to the weather forecast we headed off to Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA (2 hour ride). We stopped at a Chinese buffet on the way and had lunch. Gave Alan a little bit of chocolate pudding (as well as his pear/pineapple food). I had to get diapers at the Rite Aid next door as I only brought 2 :( - then when I came back from paying (they had trouble with handling a gift card) Alan had the runs. So I had to send DH back to Rite Aid for wipes - and change Alan into a short sleeve long leg romper I brought in case we were out late (had no other shorts). But we continued on as Alan was fine (He managed to scrape his head on the edge of the car seat while trying to change him...argh - but he calmed down). We walked around and sat down to listen to a folk singer - the sky appeared to slowly darken to the south. Alan was getting a little bored, so we went into the neat toy store next door to amuse Alan (at last an excuse to go there!) and then all of sudden BOOM! it was pouring. So we hung out there for a while and got a little vanilla ice cream at the ice cream place in the same indoor mall which all 3 of us shared. Then we left Musikfest because the weather still didn't look good and stopped at Wegman's (cool grocery store) in Bethlehem on the way home. Alan was fine on the way home, but when we got home he'd a little loose p*p again. So I gave him chicken and apples for dinner (lacked apple sauce in the house). We took a bath and he went to bed :)

He's fine this AM. I've got to get ready now and I'll need time to drop off the high chair and seat at the sitters along with Alan.

I'm not sure if the chocolate pudding upset him, or he'd had too much pear in a row. He had pear and squash for saturday dinner, oatmeal with pear juice sunday AM, pear+pineapple for lunch and a little pear juice in a bottle Sunday afternoon.

Did he take right to the chocolate pudding? Boy, my kids lit right up when I introduced sweets to them.

He loved it. His favorite is vanilla ice cream (I'd rather keep him away from chocolate). I think he'd eat the whole 1/2 gallon if we let him!
