Is he expected to be okay?

Spoke to his Dad last night (we passed coming and going) and he said Georgie would be ok. Don't know when he's coming home.

I'm glad he is improving. I hope he has a full recovery. Babies are so amazingly resiliant that he will probably be fine. Even if he did get a head injury his brain is so young and full of connections that he will likely just learn around the damaged areas! I am keeping my fingers crossed!

I don't know. I do know the police have been to the apartment because of friction between the sister and stepmother. But it also appeared that NJ goverment child services agency (DFYS) wasn't involved before which is good. But the cop did refer to the sister by name at one point.

That's really odd that he fell even after the dad checked to make sure the space was small enough for it to be safe for him. If the kid fell through the spaces even after the dad measured those spaces, he's probably going to be feeling really bad about that for a while, which is hars. They aren't thinking that the sister was somehow involved, are they? I thought I remembered you saying something about her being difficult?

I just hope the kid comes out of it all ok. I may not be a big fan of children, but I sure don't like seeing them hurt!

Falling, what kind of high chair was Alan in when he fell? We are looking at used highchairs and I sure the heck don't want to get one that may tip!

My heart goes out to Georgie and his mommy. How horrible!

Alan was in a very old Graco high chair with just a belt not a 5 point strap. He wasn't strapped which is why he fell as far as we know. He came down apparently either with or onto the tray of the chair.

We use at home this one as we have no room for a chair:

But we bought THIS to replace the one at daycare. We like the 5 point harness and so does his sitter.

Toys R Us is having a baby sale now, perhaps you can get a good deal on a new one.
