Birthday Boy and other stuff
Oct. 15th, 2003 10:10 pmThanks for all the happy birthday wishes for Alan.
Alas it was not a good day for Alan.
Got home from work late as the bus hit traffic going through the Lincoln
Tunnel.
Got the ice cream cake at 7 PM, picked up DH and the camera and went to the
sitters. She had lots of relatives there (not a problem, Alan knows them
all). We got out the ice cream cake and Nadia stuck the hat on his head. He
started to cry. He remained cranky and tired while everyone else ate the ice
cream cake. I only got one photo of him crying, and he didn't want cake.
Then when I went to leave I couldn't find my keys for a bit, but did find
them.
Nursed him to sleep when we got home - maybe 7:45
He woke up around 9:10. He was warm. I gave him tylenol, undressed him and
changed his diaper. Gave him an 8oz bottle, nursed a little - put him in the
crib. He was just crying again and I sent DH in to take care of him. I hope
he's not sick :(
My late dad (a native NY'er) was a cubs
fan. I asked my aunt (also a native NY'er) tonight if she knew why. She
didn't and said when my dad was a cubs fan she was a st. louis cardinals
fan. Go figure?
The Alan bottle effect struck again tonight. 3 out of 4 nights we've watched
either the Sox or Cubs while he's had his bedtime bottle, a run scored!
Tonight it was a 2 run homer by Moises Alou.
Go Cubs
Go Sox

Date: 2003-10-15 09:05 pm (UTC)The lucky thing is, at one, they dont know which day is the important one, so you can have another birthday with him this weekend ,earlier when he's not so tired. Even just a cupcake or something :)
The ice cream cake is saved
