Well I went to the bank and then to the doctor's office. Oops. The appointment was tommorow. Had to reschedule his checkup for 11/1 as I don't have any more time off in the near future. Oh well. Went to Target. Alan fell asleep in the car and by using a stroller was able to continue his nap for a bit. Got what I needed there, even while arguing about the kitchen floor tile price. It was initially 325.00 but he first had me today at 600.00 --- got him back down to 350.00 (whew - I didn't want cheap linoleum again).
Then to the mall and Picture People. Next time, I'll dress Alan at home ( I had him in a onepiece outfit because I thought he'd needed to be undressed at the doctor and I wanted that quick). Shoot went well and I think I'll have good photos - I have to get them NEXT week, no time to wait an hour today. I also got some stuff at Gymboree and ran into someone I knew returning a pair of socks to Children's Place. Grabbed some McDonalds to go, stopped at the house (gave Alan some fries and a bit of a burger...he preferred the fries). Off to the Little Ferry Municipal Court. Lot of people there. Judge asked me to wait outside cause Alan was making noise. Then I wasn't sure if I was going to get called or not. Spoke to several police officers. Finally spoke to the one who wrote the ticket. After I explained nicely about being told it wasn't being inforced and little info about the permit. (Which I did get today, it was free) the officer ended up speaking to the prosecutor and it was to be dismissed. I went into the courtarea (Alan was asleep from being strolled around at this point). Then Alan woke up, and as I was giving him a bottle I got called. I asked the judge to wait a sec, he skipped me, did 2 other people and then called me. He did say something about making child care arrangements next time and I was dismissed. (What a grouch....and I did bring Alan on purpose as he was the reason for the ticket - no Alan, no need to park my car anywhere else to take the bus!)
There was also a wedding while I was there as the judge is there once a week. I wouldn't want to be married in the middle of parking tickets and other criminal stuff :(
Oh, I had ordered Merrell shoes for Alan from Sports Authority. Size 4.5 infant. They came today - size 4.5 BOYS. They almost fit me (I'm a 6 or 6.5, boys shoes run 2 sizes smaller). I almost kept them for me but they have a scratch on them. So I e-mailed Sports Authority to complain. Grr...
