It was a quiet weekend.
Saturday we went to a friend's house for a bit. Everyone marveled at how quiet and mellow Alan was. Friend's of ours who were there kept kept being amazed as their now 15 year old son (also there) was a very cranky baby who cried if his mom left his side for a second. Hopefully, Alan didn't hear this. We also stopped at Target on the way home and I got some stuff we needed including more bottles and pacifiers.
Yesterday we went to my mother-in-laws for a bit. Again, Alan was basically mellow although he did cry a little in the supermarket on the way home. He did seem crankier yesterday than he had so far, but I don't think he pooped at all yesterday (he did this morning) and I think that bothered him. He had his first real bath last night and smells nice and fresh today. DH was very helpful with the bath - it was something he REALLY wanted to do, so when we finally got around to doing it, he had fun.
I didn't get to breastfeed as much as I'd like. I was tired and with traveling it was awkward to feed him when I'm not home. So he got a few more formula feedings - in addition to his supplimenting approximately every other feeding. DH seems to be trying to talk me out of breastfeeding, but I'm not ready to give up yet. I got fenugreek and mother's milk tea yesterday, I'll see if they help and if I can pump more than an oz each side when I can get to pumping.
Alan seems to need *2* feedings at night if we go to bed between 11 and 12 - one around 2-3 AM (this one I've tried to also bottle feed, I'm tired) and around 5-6. The 5-6 is hard, especially when DH gets up at 6:30 on work days.
I've had a dull headache off and on the last few days and a bit of a nasal drip. I'm going to call my allergist and see if it is allergies (and I need a flu shot). I'd like to feel a little better both physically and emotionally (I've had a bit of the blues and sadness off and on ) so I can get stuff done.
